THE CHALLENGE HAS ENDED

Thank you so much to everyone, who participated in the challenge. We got a huge amount of plays in a short time from a relatively small amount of people . And can you imagine that there was one single participant, who accounted for almost half of the total plays of the whole challenge! Thank you Eva (aka hebah64) from Spain, you are awesome! All the winners are listed below and they will be contacted through Last.fm during the next couple of days and they will get some pretty sweet prizes, such as our limited edition Lies CD-single (only 150 copies made) and 51/50s T-shirt. The top 3 will also receive our debut album Dangerous State of Mind as soon as it hits the stores in May.

Starting right now you can participate in the “51/50s Last.fm Challenge”. It is a competition open for everyone and the rules are simple: Play 51/50s’ songs on Last.fm as much as you can!

How to participate:

1. In order to participate in the competition you have to have a Last.fm account (sign up here).
2. After you have created your account just log in to Last.fm and leave us a comment about our music in our Last.fm “shoutbox”. It is located on the bottom of our Last.fm profile and we need you to do this in order to keep up with the participants. You don’t have to mention anything about this competition, just comment our music.
3. Start playing 51/50s’ songs (go to 51/50s’ Last.fm page). It doesn’t matter which of the four available 51/50s songs you listen to, because Last.fm keeps track of every song you listen to. The top 10 listeners with the most plays will be rewarded.

The competition ends 31st of January, 2009 at 18:00 (GMT). The winners will be announced on this website and contacted via Last.fm.

Here’s what the top 10 listeners will get:

• A special edition “Lies” CD-single, which is signed by the band members. (NOTE: The Lies single will be available only in digital format for everybody else and these special edition CDs will never be on sale, so this is your only chance to get them!).
• A special edition 51/50s T-shirt.
• The band members will announce the winners in a video message, which will be featured on this website and on YouTube.

Here are the bonus prizes for the top 3 listeners:

• Special edition 51/50s’ debut album in CD format and as a digital download.
• Featured as a 51/50s’ top friend on MySpace, if you have a profile there and if you want it.
